Remove EXIF data but keep your copyright

Photographers face a trade-off: strip metadata for privacy and you also wipe the copyright notice, byline and licensing terms you want to travel with the image. MetaMarshal lets you separate the two — clear the location, device serial and capture time that expose you, while keeping the IPTC copyright, creator and contact fields that protect your work.

Nothing leaves your device to clean a photo — the only exception is the optional AI location estimate, which sends a downscaled copy off-device, and only after you tap to confirm.

How it works

1
Drop your export above; every EXIF, IPTC and XMP field is read locally and grouped so you can see what's private and what's attribution.
2
Review the two groups: the privacy fields (GPS, serial, software, precise time) versus the rights fields (copyright, creator, credit, licence URL).
3
Strip the privacy fields and confirm the copyright, byline and contact info are retained in the before/after diff.
4
Export the clean file — smaller and safer to share, but still credited to you.
