MetaMarshal provides a browser-based photo metadata viewer and scrubber, and a developer API for programmatic metadata extraction and removal. The consumer app is free; API usage is billed per the pricing page.
You keep all rights to your photos. Because the consumer app processes files on your device, we never receive them. Files sent to the API are processed transiently and deleted per the privacy policy; we claim no rights over them.
Don’t use MetaMarshal to violate the law or others’ privacy — including scrubbing media to conceal evidence of a crime or processing images you have no right to process. API abuse (circumventing limits, resale without agreement) may result in suspension.
MetaMarshal is provided as-is. We work hard to remove metadata thoroughly, but you’re responsible for verifying the output before sharing anything sensitive — the before/after diff exists for exactly that.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim. For free usage, that’s zero.
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
